<h1>Helene Janzen</h1> (formerly Pauls) 1914 – 2007 Oma passed away, peacefully, surrounded by her family who loved her, at Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo, on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the age of 93. Lovingly remembered by her son John Pauls and wife Irene and her daughter Maria Pauls of Germany; her grandchildren Dan Pauls (Treena), Lora Ryan (Martin), Sara Pauls, Heidi Pauls, and seven other grandchildren in Germany; 20 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers in B.C. and a sister in Alberta. Predeceased by her first husband Peter Pauls in 1988, her second husband David Janzen in 1998, one daughter in infancy and son Peter. Helene will be remembered for her smiles, sense of humour, strength, and faith in God. A special thank you is extended to the compassionate and caring staff at Parkwood Mennonite Home where she made her home for the past eight years. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Monday, May 28 from 6-8 pm. The funeral service to honour Helene’s life and faith will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at First Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener.
