<h1>Jean Romain</h1> 1948 – 2007 “You will read in the newspaper that I am dead. Don’t believe it for a moment. I will be more alive than ever before... Earth recedes…Heaven opens before me!” Surrounded by the love of her family and encircled in her husband’s arms, Jean passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 59 years. Loving wife of Jean-Guy for 38 years. Devoted mother of Tara Nejadrasoul (Dave), Jodie Romain (Bill Tremblay) and Tim Harris (Bridgette). Nana of Joshua, Jeremy and Jacob Nejadrasoul, Kyle and Ava Harris, and Tatem and Zakurie Tremblay. Lovingly remembered by her mother Edna Gallant; sisters Patsy Hoffman (Wally), Norma Rantz (Weldon) and Connie Jonston (Scott); mother-in-law Elizabeth Romain; sisters and brothers-in-law Leona, Darcy, Patricia, George and their spouses. Predeceased by her father Thomas Gallant; brother, Bobby Gallant; and father-in-law Leo Romain. Special thanks to all of the staff on the 8th Floor Oncology Unit at Grand River Hospital. Angels among us. Jean was a retired nurse and was employed at Grand River Hospital for 33 years. She was a member of St. Agnes RC Church for the past 30 years. She belonged to the C.W.L., the Marian Movement of Priests and the Padre Pio New Jersey-Canada Prayer Group. She enjoyed four years of retirement, in which she was an avid cheerleader at many hockey, soccer and karate matches. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where Parish Prayers will be held at 8:30 p.m. both evenings. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes RC Church, 75 Bluevale St. N., Waterloo, on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 11 a.m., the Rev. Piotr Machnacki and Rev. Irek Koziak as celebrant. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
