<h1>Walter "Barry" Clark</h1>
Peacefully in Kitchener on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in his 97th year.
Husband of the late Florence Lillian (Martin). Father of Ann Wise (Gary) of Phoenix, Barbara Vallis (Chip) of Toronto and Warren Clark (Bernice) of Toronto. Grandfather of Laura Vallis, Clark Vallis and Julie Wise.
Barry was born in Toronto and attended Howard Park School near High Park. After attending Humberside Collegiate, he began taking university correspondence courses with Queens University and attended classes in Kingston for his final two years of university. He graduated from Queens in 1941.
During the Second World War he was seconded by the National Research Council in Ottawa to assist with the war effort in a classified manner. Following his status as a boffin, he married Florence in 1945. They moved to Kitchener where he worked at Electrohome until 1963 and Raytheon from 1963-1976, living in the house that he and Florence began building in 1949. During his retirement, in addition to the many hours he spent as Secretary of the KW chapter of the Kiwanis Club, Barry continued his dedication to his Glasgow Road haven, where he and Florence lived until 2004.
Out of respect for and in honour of Barrys humble nature, a private family service will be held.
