<h1>Almeda Snider</h1> 1921 - 2010 It is with sadness that we share the passing of Almeda Snider on May 22, 2010 at the age of 89. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Hackett of Kitchener; a son, Mark (Kim Market) of North Bay; and a daughter, Jane (Larry Nafziger) of Ottawa; also a sister, Doris Bowman and brother-in-law, Harold Bowman, and sister-in-law, Marjorie Bearinger. She will be missed by grandchildren Zakary Nafziger, Hannah and Abram Snider, step-granddaughter Adwenna Peters. She was predeceased by her husband, A. Leonard Snider (2001); her parents David and Elvina (Shantz) Bearinger; two brothers, Riley and Vernon and his twin sister, Vera. As a member of Erb St. Mennonite Church for many years, Almeda enjoyed meeting with the women’s groups there and serving in several positions on the executive. She also worked on the library committee at the church for a number of years. She will be remembered for her interest in current affairs, her love of gardening and flowers, and her love of travel. The many quilts she made for her children are a tangible reflection of her heritage. Friends are invited to share their memories of Almeda with her family during visitation at Erb Street Mennonite Church, 131 Erb Street West, Waterloo on Tuesday, May 25 (today) from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, May 26 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Eleanor Epp-Stobbe officiating. A family interment service will take place at Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery.
