Obituary of Sheila Schmidt

<h1>Sheila Schmidt</h1> (nee Olheiser) 1934 – 2010 Sheila died peacefully, with her daughters by her side, on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Lanark Place Retirement Residence in Kitchener. A loving mom who will be missed by her children, Barb and Les McNaughton, Jennifer and Mark Robinson, and David Schmidt and daughter-in-law Kathy Krpan. Sheila was known as Nana to Taylor, Blair, Emily, Jodie, Stephanie, Samantha and Sara. Sheila’s sense of humour and thoughtful heart will be missed by all who knew her. The care extended to Sheila and her family while at Lanark was exceptional and incredibly comforting and caring beyond all possible expectations. During the last years of Sheila’s life, she faced many health struggles bravely with her faith in God, relying on His strength and peace. Special thanks are given to Pastor Hartburg and Dr. Winger for their many visits to mom and words of comfort and peace. Barb and Jenn would like to thank family and friends for all their thoughts and prayers during this long journey with their mom. Also, thank you to the Union Terrace staff at Freeport Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Historic St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 137 Queen St. S., Kitchener at 2 p.m. A light lunch will follow.
