Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Sunnyside Nursing Home in Kitchener at the age of 79.
Beloved wife of Harold for 56 years. Loving mother of Sue Roberts (Jim), Bev Berg (Al), Nancy Silva (Joe) and Janice Dietrich (Larry). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Mike Roberts (Joanne), Chris Roberts (Laurie), Jeff Roberts (Pam), Jamie Roberts (Kate), Steven Berg (Suzanne), David Berg (Joanna Fedy), Daryl Moser (Kitty), Emily and Jeremy Silva, Joshua and Alyssia Dietrich and by her great-grandchildren Allison, Isaac, Aislinn and Gidget. Survived by her sister Shirley Grien, brother Ronnie Schneider (Carol), sisters-in-law Lorraine, Gloria Wyszynski, and Helen Kreutzer, brothers-in-law Vic Aubin, Claude, Clarence, Mel, Jerome, Bill and Cal Moser and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her father Alfred Diemert, her mother Hilda (nee Wagner), her step-father Andrew Schneider, brother Lloyd Diemert and sister Bea Aubin.
Dorothy retired from Hammond Electronics where she was a supervisor. She was a member of St. Michaels RC Church and the C.W.L. She treasured spending time with her family both at home and at the cottage. She loved flowers and spent much time enjoying her garden.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, May 17 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, May 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m, Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michaels RC Church, 240 Hemlock St. (at University Ave.), Waterloo on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Cornelius J. OMahoney officiating. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Reception to follow the interment in St. Michaels Parish Hall.
