<h1>Ed Philp</h1> 1928 – 2010 Passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the age of 82. Beloved husband and soulmate of Suzanne; loving father to Jim Philp, Barbara and her husband David Facciol, Chris and his wife Irene; greatly missed by grandchildren Sheena and her husband Chris Paiva, Michael, Lisa and Amanda, Jacob, Megan and Ben; and proud great-grandfather to Ethan. Ed will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and neighbours. Ed’s life long work involved the architectural design and construction of hospitals across Canada. He was recognized for his skillful abilities throughout his career. Hobbies included golf!!! gardening, cabinet design and building as well as fishing. He was famous for his tomatoes. Visitation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, Sunday, May 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener, on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wayne Lobsinger as celebrant. Interment in Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener. Following the interment friends are invited back to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. Many thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for the care they gave to Ed which was above and beyond.
