Obituary of Alvin Leasa

<h1>Alvin Leasa</h1> 1918 - 2010 Al Leasa, of Luther Village on the Park in Waterloo, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the age of 91 years. Al was born in Brantford, Ontario on June 16, 1918 but moved to Kitchener following the death of his father, Fred Leasa, and remarriage of his mother, Melinda Israel. Al was lovingly married to Ruth Hollinger for 59 years prior to her death in 2002. He worked in the furniture division of Electrohome Ltd. for many years where he learned his wood working skills. In retirement he remained industrious in using his unique craftsmanship for his family, friends and Project Wood Working. Al is survived by his son Richard Leasa and wife Paulette, his son David Leasa and wife Cathy, his grandchildren Jay Leasa and Jane Leasa, and by his sister Verna King. A private ceremony celebrating his life was held in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo on Wednesday May 5, 2010.
