Passed away peacefully, at his home on Monday, March 9, 2009
Fred was the cherished husband and friend of Audrey (nee Luft) for 51 years; Beloved father of Tim of Saskatoon; Mary of Kingston; Steve & Janet of Waterloo and Robin of Brantford. Grampa to Sarah, Katie & Rachel; Melissa & Maggie; Scott, Ben & Kiersten
Sadly missed by his brother Carl (June) Eichholz. Brothers-in-law: Herman (Muriel) Luft, Amzi (Stella) Martin, Albert (Dorothy) Luft, Bill (Shirley) Luft, and Bob (Nancy) Luft. Sister-in-law Betty (Bren) McKinnon
Uncle Fred will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Will be fondly remembered by Patty & Marty, John, Ryan & Andy and Doug.
Predeceased by parents Verna (nee Seip) and Henry; Sister Bernice; sister-in-law Esther.
Fred lived his life in the city he loved. Born on Central St. in Waterloo he attended Central School and then to KCI. Fred was very passionate about life. There were the years devoted to 8th Waterloo Cubs, St. Johns Lutheran Church, Operation Christmas Child, ManuLife Ride for Heart, Crohns and Colitis Foundation M & M Bar-B-Que and most recently as a volunteer at the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Fred with his family during a visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, March 12, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m and Friday, March 13, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Freds life and faith will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo, on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the interment, friends are invited to join the family for a reception in the church hall.
