<h1>Dora Stephens</h1> 1915 – 2009 1915-09-18Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, March 8, 2009, in her 94th year. Born on September 18, 1915 in Frittendon, England to the late Robert and Selma Nevitt. Cherished wife of both her first husband, the late Douglas Whaley, and her second husband, the late William Stephens; and treasured companion to the late Peter Goetz. Loving mother to three stepsons, John Stephens (Sharon) of Waterloo, Alan Stephens (Patricia Poirier) of Montreal, and Bruce Stephens (Pen) of Banff; and one stepdaughter, Jennifer Stephens (Albert Petersen). Will be fondly remembered by four grandchildren, Janine Stephens (Michael Pickersgill) of Toronto, Michael Stephens of New York, and Zoé and Charlotte Poirier-Stephens of Montreal; and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by three sisters, Roslyn (her twin), Eleanor, and Joyce Nevitt, and two brothers, Ernest and Barrington Nevitt. Special thanks to the thoughtful staff of Terrace on the Square, and to the staff of Freeport Health Centre for their warmth and compassionate care. Friends are invited to share their memories of Dora with her family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Janice Hamalainen officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Historic Kuntz House of the funeral home. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
