Peacefully, on Friday, March 6, 2009, at Leisureworld in Elmira, at the age of 84.
Riet was the beloved wife of the late Ben van der Hoff; dear mother of John of Burlington, Chris and his wife Rosemarie of Bolton, Miriam and her husband Allan of Ottawa and Leo and his wife Marta of London, Ontario.
Grandmother to Ben, Brandon, Danen, Desi, Jeremy, Jacob, Kara, Thomas and Luke. Dear sister of Netty, Trees and Fritz. Predeceased by brothers, Pete and Eugene and a sister, Yoka.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Riet during a reception on Sunday, March 8, 2009 from 1-3 p.m. in the Fireside Reception Room of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home 171 King St. S., Waterloo.

Riet will be remembered for her love of weaving which was shared with family and friends.
