Obituary of Alan Milne Cooper

<h1>Alan Milne Cooper</h1> 1937 - 2010 Passed away peacefully, at home, after a courageous four year journey with cancer, on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the age of 73. Al will be greatly missed by his beloved wife and best friend, Joy Goodwin-Cooper, his son Scott Cooper (Mary Abel) of London, step-daughter Nadine (Gary) Starr, and cherished granddaughter Samantha all of Thornhill. Al will also be fondly remembered by his half brother Robert Blatchford, two aunts, Evelyn Currie and Audrey (Bob) Smith, sister-in-law Rohanna Goodwin Smith, father-in-law Bill Goodwin as well as his cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Ruth (nee Milne) Cooper. Throughout his career in Sales in the Food Services Industry and the Natural Organic Food Sector, Al was dedicated to personally serving his customers and will be remembered as a man who truly loved his work. He was also passionate about Skiing, Tennis, and collecting model train sets, racing cars and trucks, and was a long-time member of the Unity Church. At Al’s request, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Al with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, April 10, 2010, from 10 to 10:45 am. A celebration of Al’s life will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 am. A reception will take place in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home following the service. Heartfelt thanks goes out to the many people who personally touched Al with their support and compassion throughout his journey, especially his friends at Ontario Natural Food Co-op, the company he recently retired from, and the Doctors, Nurses, PSW's, OT and volunteers.
