On Sunday, March 30, 2008, Dorit quietly fulfilled her life's rich journey. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Weitzel; mother of Ted Weitzel of Fort Nelson, BC, and Heidi Wagner (Peter) of Waterloo. Proud "Grandma Domino" of Molly and Olivia. Predeceased by her brother Karl Ernst Heinrichson of Hannover, Germany.
There will be a memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S, Waterloo on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 from 7-9 p.m., and the funeral service will be at Reformation Lutheran Church, 456 Krug Street, Kitchener, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Lutheran World Relief or to the House of Friendship and can be arranged by calling the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com.
She will be fondly remembered for her kind, gentle demeanor, her strong, inquisitive mind, and her love of language. She left her mark subtly on many people and will be sorely missed.
In living memory of Dorit, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
