Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Home on March 26, 2008 in his 83rd year.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Erma, his two sons, Jay (Kim) Johnston of Kitchener and David Johnston of Ottawa, and three grandchildren Krista, Jandi and Ian. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Zavitz and was predeceased by his brother Ken Johnston.
Ralph and his business partner Gord Everett took over Harman Automotive Supply in 1955 where they enjoyed success before passing it on to their sons in the early 80s. He was an avid participant of the A.R. Kaufman Y.M.C.A., Kiwanis, and the A.T.S.S.A, and one of his passions was photography.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Ralph with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Chaplain Rene Alexander of Sunnyside Home officiating. Cremation will follow and a time of fellowship will immediately follow the funeral service in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
