Obituary of Damman John Damman

<h1>John Damman Sr.</h1> 1924 – 2010 It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Albert Damman announces his passing on March 23, 2010 after a brief illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Marie and his children Janice Hill (Gord), John Jr. (Kathryn) and Nancy (Dave). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Tamara, Christopher, Sabrina, Spencer, Emily and Jessica and his five great granddaughters Madison, Jordyn, Makenna, Akadia and Alexis as well as his brother in law John (Gloria) Foisey. He is predeceased by his parents Carl and Alice, his brother Carl Jr., sisters Alice and Edna. Dad was a proud Veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, serving from 1943 to 1945 and life member of the Kitchener Waterloo Naval Association. After retiring in 1984 from his own business, he enjoyed countless hours tinkering in his garage. He will always be remembered for his passion for building model engines and his love for his Harley which was fondly referred to as “grandma and grandpa’s Hog”. Our sincere thanks to Kim, Amy and Kayla and to the wonderful doctors and nurses of Grand River Hospital ICU for the care shown to our dad. Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. A Poppy Ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m. A celebration of John’s life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, March 27 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
