<h1>Dorothy Fisher</h1> 1924 – 2008 Resident of Highland Place, formally Meadowcroft Place, Kitchener, passed away, on Sunday, March 23, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Beloved sister of Mark (Phyllis) Fisher and Dr. Miller (Doris) Fisher. Sadly missed by her good friend Fay Ashcroft; her nephew Charles Grierson and his wife Elaine and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, George and Frieda Fisher; step-mothers Ella and Margaret; her sisters Ruth, Helen and Mariam and her brothers Munro, George and James. Dorothy was a long time employee of Canada Forage and Blower. Honoring Jeans wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a committal service at Mt. Hope Cemetery Waterloo, on Friday March 28, 2008 at 9:30 am followed by the memorial service at 11 am at First United Church, 16 William Street, Waterloo. Rev Rick Hawley officiating. Reception in the church hall to follow. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cruickshank and the staff at St. Mary’s General Hospital Emergency Department and the nurses on the 3rd and 5th floors as well as the staff of Highland Place Retirement Residence for the exceptional care and genuine concern shown to Jean.
