Passed away peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Friday, March 20, 2009 at the age of 77.
Ruth was the co-founder and past owner of Heritage Natural Foods in Belleville, Ontario.
Cherished mother of Rita Stevens (William) of Cardiff, Bernard Brian Hartung of Waterloo, Andreas Edmund Hartung (Jody Morris) of Waterloo and Christina Bassett (Daryl) of Brampton. Sadly missed by loving grandchildren, Ryan David Stevens, Elijah Gladstone Bassett, Zebadiah Brian Bernard Hartung, Isaiah Timothy Hartung, Uriah Sebastien Hartung and Joshua Bernard Hartung.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Bernard.
An Angel on earth, A Mother to all and A Friend that most could only dream of having, her unconditional love of people and life shall prove to be an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. Her spirit shall live on within us, always and forever!
Friends are invited to share their memories of Ruth with her family during a visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, from 12 p.m. until the funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the interment, friends are invited to join the family at the funeral home for a reception.
