Passed away, peacefully, to be with her Lord on March 20, 2007 at the age of 76 years.
Cherished wife of 56 years to Ragnar Ray. Loving mother of Bernd and his wife Nicole, Renate Schnitzer and her husband Ed, Robert and his wife Cathy. Proud Oma of Heidi Scalabrini and her husband Frederic, Natasha Wittke, Geoff and Kathryn Schnitzer, Caitlin and Isabel Wittke. Sadly missed by her mother Olga Tomaitis, sisters Herta Guderian, Irma Lassel and brother Waldemar Kurz.
Predeceased by her father Julius Kurz and brothers Adolf and Ewald.
Elses hard work throughout her life was expressed to those who knew her in many ways. She dedicated much of her time to creating beauty around her home and cottage through her gardening and meticulous housekeeping. She also expressed her love through many hours of baking and cooking for her family and friends. We will all miss the fabulous meals together around the dining room table at Ray and Elses home.
A special thank you to the dedicated and compassionate medical and nursing staff at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital and the Waterloo-Wellington Community Care Access Centre for the tender care Else received over the many years and especially over these final days.
