<h1>Harvey Durst</h1> 1920 - 2007 Passed away, peacefully at home on March 19, 2007 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of 63 years to Ruth (nee Snyder). Loving father of Gary and his wife Kathy, Kevin and his wife Dawn, Guy and his wife Judy and Joad and his wife Laurie. Proud grandfather of Corey, Emily, Michael, Ryan, Ethan, Isaac, Olivia, Keegan and Emma. Survived by his sister Violet Billark and many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by Angie Webber. Predeceased by his son Duane; his parents Walter and Mary and siblings Edna, Roy, Mabel, Lorne and Oscar. Harvey was a dedicated employee of Electrohome in the Deilcraft Furniture Division for 47 years. He was an active volunteer in minor sports and his community. In his retirement he was a volunteer driver for seniors at the Waterloo Adult Recreation Centre and prepared taxes for seniors. In his spare time Harvey thoroughly enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. Friends are invited to share their memories of Harvey with his family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where parish prayers will be held at 8:45. The Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Harvey’s life will be held at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen Street East, Waterloo, on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 10 am with Rev. Bernie Hayes C.R. as celebrant. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family in the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit. Interment will take place in St. Boniface RC Cemetery, Maryhill at a later date.
