<h1>Richard "Dick" Mutton</h1> 1929 - 2007 Richard Arthur Mutton, a devoted, loving husband, father, friend and colleague, passed away, peacefully, on Saturday, March 17, 2007 surrounded by his entire family at the age of 77. Dick has been a cornerstone of his family and community for many years. He is survived by Marion (nee Zapfe), his beloved wife and best friend of 53 years; their children, Doug (Ali), Bruce (Shelley), Carolyn Forler (Mike) as well as other loving family members, Vessie Mutton and grandchildren Heidi Vanbodegom (Brian), Hanh, Deng and Nock Thalychanh, Laura and Daniel Mutton, Alison, Scott and Ian Forler, and great-grandchild Keira Vanbodegom. Also survived by sister and brother-in-law Bobbie and Ken Hulley, brother and sister-in-law Ross and Dona Mutton, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jean and Lambert Bear as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by infant son Jimmy and by parents Dr. Hector and Elsie Mutton. Dick worked for the John Forsyth Co. for 26 years, becoming Sales Manager for Canada after which he built his own successful company, Richard Mutton Ltd. After “retiring” the second time, he joined Jeffrey D. Stacey and Associates where he worked for five years and thoroughly enjoyed learning the investment business. Dick served for six years as a member of the Wilfrid Laurier Alumni Board and was a faithful member of Parkminster United Church where he volunteered in many capacities. He cherished the deep friendships he enjoyed throughout his life. Sincere gratitude to the Emergency and Palliative Care staff at Grand River Hospital and to everyone involved in the wonderful care Dick received during his brief illness. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Friday, March 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 2:00 pm at Parkminster United Church, 275 Erb St. E., Waterloo. A reception will follow at the church.
