Dearest mother of Monica Kennedy and her spouse John of Orangeville, Patty Preiss and her spouse Bruno of Waterloo, Tom Power and his spouse Mary of Georgetown, Kathy Hansen and her spouse Kent of Mississauga and Michael Power and his spouse Helen of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Ryan and Adam Kennedy, Anna, Katie and Alex Preiss, Matt and Jenny Power, Lisa and Diane Hansen, Patrick, Kevin and Emily Power and Shannon Summers (Power) and her spouse Simon. She worked as a seamstress until she got married and moved to Willowdale in Toronto in 1956, where she lived happily and raised her family on Holmes Ave. Dressmaking and fashion continued to be her lifelong passion. Other interests included gourmet cooking, knitting, quilting, bridge, and Spanish lessons. She enjoyed retirement with her husband wintering at their condo in Fort Myers, Florida with her best friend Lois. Her deep faith was a central part of her life. She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Willowdale for over 50 years and was an active member of the CWL. In 2004, after the passing of her husband, she moved to Waterloo and has been a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. She resided at the Sunshine Centre and made many good friends. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a dedicated and loving mother who was proud of all her children and grandchildren. She was thrilled to recently become a great-grandmother.
