<h1>Heather Drake</h1> 1947 – 2009 Heather died suddenly, as the result of a heart attack, at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener, on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. She was 62. Heather was known by her family and friends as a loving, happy and giving woman who would do anything to help someone. She was the best friend and beloved wife of Tom; dear mother of Patty and her husband Blake Desjardins of Sudbury, John Drake and his wife Christine of Toronto, Darrin Drake of Kitchener and Ryan Drake and Jen of Kitchener. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Samantha, Colin and Sabrina Desjardins, Jaden Drake, Alyssa Drake and sisters Joan Chelew of Waterloo and Diane and her husband Roger Pugh of Mississauga. She was predeceased by her parents Vera (Shears) and William Slade. She graduated from Toronto General Hospital as a Registered Nurse and worked in Triage at Sicks Kids and then at St. Mary’s General Hospital. Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Heather with her family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Heather’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Murray MacLeod officiating. Cremation will follow. Following the service, friends are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
