Obituary of Gerhard Deinas

<h1>Gerhard Deinas</h1> We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Gerhard Hans Deinas on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Gerhard was a former broker with Wiebe Real Estate. Born December 1924, in Goldap, East Prussia, he was the beloved husband of Corrie for 36 years. He was the caring, giving, and supportive stepfather of Andrew and Kathy Anstett, Janet Percival, Patti and Leonard Siegel, David and Mary Anstett, and Peter Deinas of Germany. He was much loved Opa of Josh Anstett, Jen Anstett, Aaron Siegel, Kaleigh Anstett, Jessica Anstett, Keira Anstett, Jessica Siegel, and Kaitlin Anstett. He will be missed dearly by his sister Brigitte and her husband Tony Bergmeier and his nieces and nephews, Ellen and David Cook (Brendon, Kellen, Ryan and B.J.) Simone and Eli Gabbay (Benjamin), Claudia and Peter Schoepke (Peter and Stephanie), and Steven and Kathy Mulhall (Erich and Jennifer). He will also be remembered fondly by his cousins, Heinz and Kathy Henneman of Germany. He was predeceased by his beloved sister Helga Seefeldt and niece Karen Bergmeier–Mulhall. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2 -4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. The funeral will be held in the chapel on Monday, June 14, at 11a.m. with Rev. Bob Parks and Rev. Manfred Strauss officiating. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
