<h1>Emilee Bender-Betik</h1> (March 24 1978 – June 27 2010) Emilee Bender passed away early Sunday morning June 27 2010 at Lisaard House hospice, in Cambridge. Emilee’s courageous journey with brain cancer was an inspiration to all. Loving wife of Nick Betik, Kitchener. Beloved daughter of Linda and Ken Bender, Breslau. Sister of Nathan Bender, Toronto and Melissa and Greg Downey, Caledon. Daughter-in-law of Lori and Jerry Betik, Astorville. Sister-in-law of Lisa and Matthew Betik, Waterloo, Melinda Fulmer and Aaron Betik, Atlanta, GA, Andrew Betik, Calgary, and Rebecca and Mark Shewfelt, Ottawa. Emilee is greatly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Emilee enjoyed wonderful friendships and thrived in an abundance of communities throughout her life. Emilee graduated from Rockway Mennonite Collegiate and the University of Waterloo with a Masters degree in Architecture. Emilee’s family will receive friends at Erb &amp; Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, June 29, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 30 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday July 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Breslau Mennonite Church, 226 Woolwich St. South, Breslau, ON.
