<h1>Sofia Emrich</h1> 1925 – 2007 Sofia passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family at Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on Tuesday June 26, 2007 at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of Johann for the past 60 years. Loving mother of John and his wife Rosemarie of Kitchener and Dieter and his wife Barbara of London. Proud and loving Oma of Katherine and her partner Chad, Robert, Kristine and her husband Trevor Broughton and Stephen and his wife Karen and Ur Oma of Megan Broughton. She is also remembered by her brother Georg Hofgraff and two nieces all of Germany Predeceased by her parents and her sister Maria Hofgraff. Sofia was born in Deutsch Budak, Transylvania and was a long-time member of the Transylvania Club, Kitchener as well as St. John’s Lutheran Church, Waterloo. Prior to retiring, Sofia enjoyed a 30 year career at KW Hospital. Friends are invited to share their memories of Sofia with her family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service to celebrate Sofia’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday June 29, 2007 at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the interment, friends are invited to join the family in the funeral home’s Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit.
