<h1>Irma Letkemann</h1> 1926 – 2008 Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday June 23, 2008, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of John Letkemann for 59 years. Loving mother of Rudy Letkemann of Waterloo, Hilda and Brian Doherty of New Hamburg, Irma and Herb Goertz, and Martha and Rudy Goertz, all of Waterloo. Cherished grandmother of Jacob Letkemann and partner Benjamin Lefebvre, Katie and husband Craig Underwood, Nicholas and Meghan Doherty, Matthew Goertz and fiancé Stephanie Beach, Jonathan and Melinda Goertz, and Christin and Stephanie Goertz; and dear great-grandmother of Joshua Underwood. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Elfriede Neufeld and fondly remembered by her extended family and her many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Erhard Rudolf and Elisabeth Vogt, five brothers Eugan, Eduard, Richard, Paul and Peter and three sisters, Olga, Erna and Elsa. Irma was a faithful member of W-K United Mennonite Church, Waterloo, the church Mission Circle and Kränzchen. Her life was built around generosity, family and faith. She was an avid gardener and quilter. Irma’s courage, dignity and deep love of her family are her legacy to us. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Kennel, Dr. Maurice and Marie, Collette and Kelley of Care Partners Team 7 for their kindness, compassion and loving care during this difficult time. Friends are invited to share their memories of Irma with her family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, June 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Irma’s life and faith will be held at W-K United Mennonite Church, 15 George Street, Waterloo, on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Brubaker officiating. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow the committal service, in the church hall.
