1928 - 2008
Passed away peacefully at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, June 22, 2008, at age 80.
Modesta left Austria for Montreal in 1954, and finally moved to this area in 1975. Modesta was a cheerful,
friendly person who overcame adversity with generosity and hard work.
For years she selflessly cared for her ill husband, Frank Hartner, at home until he passed away earlier this year after 59 years of marriage. She is sorely missed by her son Gerd (Corinna); her sister Rosa Klauser
and brother Johann Kump; her sisters-in-law Traude (Gerhard) and Trude, and brothers-in-law Christian and Ernst; her nieces Karin, Gerlinde and Waltraud, and nephew Gerhard Jr; and her step-grandchildren Ken and Karen.
