Passed away suddenly, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the age of 86 years.
Eldon was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Nelda, his beloved wife Mary, and his eldest son Edward. He will remain forever in the hearts of his surviving children, Nelda (Timothy) Webb, Sheldon Oswald, Eileen McCathie (Kim Belanger), Brenda (Wolfgang) Hoffner, and daugther-in-law Deanna Oswald, his grandchildren Thomas, Michael and Jackie, Nadine and Tyson, Ian and Taylor as well as his beloved great-grandchildren.
Ozzie worked for Uniroyal for many years until retirement and was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.530, Waterloo.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Eldon with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Legion Service will be held Wednesday at 7 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Bernie Hayes, CR officiating. Cremation will follow and a private family service will be held at a later date.
