<h1>George Zahra</h1> 1921 - 2008 Passed away peacefully at Pinehaven Nursing Home on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the age of 86 years. George is survived by his devoted wife, Bernice, of 61 years; his loving daughters and their husbands, Geraldine (Gerrie) and Joe Hergott, and Donna and Wayne Diebold. George will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren and their spouses: Terrilyn and her husband Rafael Quintanilla, Melissa and her husband Jason Barry, Joe and his wife Stephanie Hergott, and Brad and his wife Leigh Diebold. Part of George’s legacy are his great-grandchildren, Isaac Hergott, Tanyalee, Marcos, and Maryalice Quintanilla, and Camryn and Kathleen Barry. George’s only surviving sibling is his sister, Doris Krueger. George was predeceased by his granddaughter, Tanyalee Hergott, brothers, Sidney and Tony Zahra, and his brother-in-law, Carl Krueger. After serving in the Second World War, George became the Chief Stationary Engineer at Sunshine/Sunar. Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Friday, June 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agatha RC Church, 1839 Notre Dame Drive, St. Agatha on Saturday, June 21 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Fedy CR as celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Agatha RC Cemetery.
