<h1>John DuCharme</h1> Peacefully at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on June 15, 2010 in his 82nd year. Dearly loved dad of Michele, Marianne (Mike) and Jamie (Kate). Cherished Poppa of Emilie, Zoe, Iain, Aimee, Teagan, Camryn and Kayne. Former husband of Gwenna DuCharme. Our dad was born on October 31, 1928 in Stratford, Ont. He lived most of his life in Waterloo where he thoroughly enjoyed spending time helping to raise his children, always supporting and encouraging academic and athletic pursuits. Family vacations were always a highlight for him and were enhanced by his incredible sense of humour. We are proud to acknowledge the variety and immense number of charities that our dad supported over many years. A heartfelt thank you to all of his friends and caregivers who showed him kindness and support, especially his longtime physician Dr. Kathleen Bedrosian. According to our dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
