I am in peace. --Kahil Gibran SNIDER, Ruth Esther (Feick) June 27, 1923 – June 14, 2010 With the same grace that she embodied in life, Ruth Snider (Feick) passed peacefully from the loving arms of her family into the welcoming arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus on June 14, 2010. Ruth was born in Doon, 87 years ago to parents Herbert and Vinetta Feick (deceased). Dearly beloved wife of W. Donald Snider for 65 wonderful years. Ruth was the cherished mother to her eight children: Weyburn (Debi), Evan (Anne), Catherine MacDonald (Dave), Carolyn Baechler (Wally), Dwight (Lynn), Sharon Snider (Bruce Lloyd), Darlene Heinrichs (Barry) and Lois Cressman (Clare). She was the loving and proud grandmother of 24 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 31 great-grandchildren. She is survived by sisters Aileen Feick and Grace Snider (Edward), and brothers Edward Feick (Beatrice) and James Feick. She was predeceased by her sister Doris Feick, brother and sister-in-law Morgan and June Feick, and sisters-in-law Onolee Feick (James) and Shirley Snider (Murray). Ruth was a lifelong member of Pioneer Park Christian Fellowship, where she was involved in many aspects of church life. She served as a Sunday school teacher for over 65 years, and was involved in the Women’s Mission and Service Group. Ruth’s devotion to community was also expressed in her 20 plus years as a volunteer at Grand River Hospital. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the loving and compassionate care that Ruth received at Winston Park. Ruth’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9 p.m. at the Erb &amp; Good Funeral Home. 171 King St. South, Waterloo. N2J 1P7. A memorial service celebrating the life of this wonderful woman will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Pioneer Park Christian Fellowship, 68 Biehn Drive, Kitchener, ON at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at the Weber Mennonite Cemetery prior to the memorial service at 11 a.m. Ruth was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing.
