Obituary of Richard Allen

<h1>Richard Allen</h1> 1940 - 2008 Passed away suddenly, in Richmond B.C. en route home from a vacation in New Zealand and Hawaii, on June 14, 2008, at the age of 68. Richard retired from the Ontario Provincial Police after 41 and a half years of distinguished service at detachments throughout the province as the longest standing officer in Ontario. Predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and Thomas Allen. Richard is survived by his brother, Geoffrey Allen and his family; cousins, Margaret, Nicholas, Richard and Jill Coleman of Ontario; Teresa Reid of British Columbia; Rae Lees of Australia; and Murray Gasson of New Zealand as well fellow law enforcement officers, friends and acquaintances. Friends are invited to share their memories of Richard during memorial visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Vern Tozer officiating, followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and interment will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge following the reception.
