Brenda died unexpectedly of cardiac arrest in her Toronto apartment on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, in her 54th year.
Brenda was a loving and much loved daughter of Eric and Jean Reble. She will be sadly missed by brother Peter, wife Terri and niece Rhea of Toronto, sister Jane and partner Jane of Kitchener, and sister Carol, husband John and nephews Travis and Jeremy of Westminster, Colorado.
Brenda was born September 14, 1958 in Kitchener. She lived with her family in India between 1960 and 1971. In 1971, she graduated from Kodaikanal High School in India, from Waterloo Lutheran University (WLU) in 1975 and from Queens University Teachers College in 1976. Brenda was a passionate teacher of English as a second language to adults in Toronto since the 70s. She flourished in the diversity of Toronto. Brendas students were her community, friends and second family. She was loved and respected in return.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Brenda with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service to celebrate and remember her life will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 49 Queen Street North, Kitchener, on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 1 pm. There will be a reception immediately following the service. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery.
