Obituary of Joan Nuhn

Joan Nuhn
(nee Engelhardt) 1952 - 2010 Formerly of Brantford, passed away peacefully at the Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on Saturday, June 12, 2010. A loving wife and mother, she will be greatly missed by her husband Daniel, son Gregory (Dawn) of Wiarton, daughter Jami (Daniel) Minda of Kitchener, grandchildren Cassidy and Zachary, and Sydney, siblings Janis Barton and Larry Engelhardt. Joan will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, William and Norma Engelhardt, brother David Peter (in infancy). She spent many long years in the Accounting Profession in the Kitchener Waterloo area, and was an active member of the Eastwood Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There is no doubt Joan was a person of the Earth! Her whole passion was to make her gardens bigger, more beautiful, and to feed everyone the produce of her hands. And of course, she organized us right to the end! “Look! The best thing that I myself have seen, which is pretty, is that one should eat and drink and see good for all his hard work with which he works hard under the sun for the number of the days his life that the [true] God has given him, for that is his portion.” Eccl. 5:18-19 Joan looks forward to the time that God has promised to clean up those ruining the earth and carry on that work as God’s fellow worker forever on earth and restore the earth to paradise conditions as God intended. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Kingdom Hall, 355 Gage St. Kitchener, at 2 p.m. Condolences for the family and donations to the Watchtower Society may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445. Many thanks to Joan’s CareTeam.
