Marnie Morrow

Died peacefully, of a long-standing blood disorder, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, in Kitchener, Ont., on Friday, June 12, 2009.
Marnie was in her 56th year of a wonder-full life filled with and devoted to compassion, love, and serving others. She is the youngest daughter of Marion Grant McCullough and Lawrence Donald Morrow. She is survived by her sister, Sandi Mennill; and her brother, Don Irwin-Morrow; and by her brother-in-law, Paul Mennill and sister-in-law Jennifer Irwin-Morrow. She is also remembered by her nieces and nephews, Dan Mennill (and his wife Stéphanie), Sally Mennill (and her partner Dean), Matt Morrow (and his wife Jen), Joe Morrow (and his fiancée Robin), Wes Morrow (and his partner Stephanie). Marnie will be sadly missed by her best friend, Lynn Taylor.
In addition to her companionship with her many friends and colleagues and her cat Emma, Marnie gave unstintingly of her time, energy, and expertise to a variety of groups and organizations. Among the latter were the First Unitarian Congregation of Waterloo (and the Unitarian Fellowship in general); Amnesty International; Médecins Sans Frontierès - Doctors Without Borders (Canada); and Wilfrid Laurier University. Marnie was an intellectually gifted and vibrant human soul who will be remembered by everyone whose life and heart she touched.
Friends and relatives are invited to a memorial service to celebrate Marnie's life at 1 p.m. on Saturday June 20, 2009 at the First Unitarian Congregation of Waterloo, 299 Sydney Street South, Kitchener, Ontario N2G 3V8 (fucw.cobalt.golden.net/), reception at the Congregation to follow the memorial.
