After a 12-year struggle with prostate cancer, Dan died peacefully at his home in Waterloo.
Beloved husband of Rita and loving and devoted father of Daniel. Survived by his brother Edward and his wife Mary of Kitchener. Loved by many in-laws including Yvette and Steve Chiasson (Barrie), Linda Brunette (Sudbury), Claudette Doucette (Sudbury), Robert St. Jacques and Terry Ward (Kingston), Dennis and Cheryl St. Jacques (Sudbury), Jimmy and Maria Chalker (Sudbury). Remembered by several nieces and nephews. Sadly missed and loved by friends Bobby A., Bev S., Billy W., Dick Y., Danny S., Danny P., and many others.
Predeceased by his parents Dmytro and Mary, brother Michael, step-daughter Debbie, grandson Anthony, and former wife Jenny.
Dan proudly served in the Royal Canadian Regiment and fought in the Korean War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530 Waterloo.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, June 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and will continue on Wednesday, June 17 from 11:30 am 12:30 pm. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm, Wednesday. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
