<h1>Gerard Straus</h1> 1923 – 2007 Passed away, peacefully at his home in Baden, on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Ziler) for 57 years. Loved father of Ruth Stinson (Gary) of Weyburn, SK, Leona Steffler (Ron) of Hanover, Mike Straus of Baden, Charles (Kathy) Straus of Ayr, Eileen Ditner (Gerry) of Moorefield, Frank Straus (Trish) of Kitchener, Ray (Ruby) Straus of New Hamburg, Mary (Bill) McMahon of New Hamburg and Colette Straus of St. Agatha. Remembered by his grandchildren Paul, Steven, Anita, Jason, Shawn, Tanya, Devin, Josh, Duane, Amy, Kim, Natasha, Dylan, Angela, Jill, Lisa, James, Melissa, Jennifer, Mark, Michelle, Matthew, Brittney, Tim, Jolene, Franklin, Anthony, Krista, Brad, Gwen, Adam, Jean, Kathy, Julie, Billy and Jeff. Great-grandpa to 16 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Sister Michaelene S.N.D., Sister Caroline S.S.J., Sister Mildred S.N.D., Eugene and his wife Margaret, Sister Christina S.S.J., Adeline Haber and husband Don, Sister Lucy S.S.J., Lucille Delisle and husband Jack. Predeceased by his infant daughter Jean and two brothers, Ralph and Jake. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories of Gerard with his family during memorial visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Thursday, June 14 from 7-9 pm and on Friday, June 15 from 11 am to 1 pm. The memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 1:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow the service and interment at St. Agatha RC Cemetery will follow the reception.
