1962 - 2010
Peacefully, after an eight year courageous battle with breast cancer at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2010, at age 48.
Brenda was an English Teacher at Sir John A. MacDonald Secondary School and previously at Eastwood Collegiate.
Beloved wife of Tom for nearly 24 years; loving mother of Rory and Ellie; loved daughter of Donna and the late Harry Smith; dear sister of Barry (Rose) Smith, Bonnie (Reid) Parkinson, and Brent (Jane) Smith. Brenda will be fondly remembered by her father-in-law, Rev. Alan McLachlin; her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy (Greg) McLachlin and Stephen (Sheila) McLachlin and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Brenda with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Parkminster United Church, 275 Erb St. E., Waterloo on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Keith Hagerman officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
