Obituary of Donald Craig

<h1>Donald Craig</h1> 1952 – 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Donald Gordon Craig on Wednesday, July 8th 2009. With his family by his side, Donald passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital as a result of complications from heart surgery. Donald is the beloved husband of Marilyn; devoted and loving father of David of Burlington and Donna and her husband Brandon Gilbert of London. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Christine Craig of Toronto; mother and father-in-law Ruth and Bill Moore of Ottawa; brother Jim; sister Peggy and her husband John Poulter; aunt Dorothy Craig and sister-in-law Louise, her husband Gary Maffett and their daughter Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his father Gordon Craig in 2003. Don was a well known and respected member of the business and volunteer community. He joined Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, now Deloitte &amp; Touche, in 1974 and was admitted to partnership in 1983. He was past president of the Canadian Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest. He was named Kitchener-Waterloo Citizen of the Year in 1994. Friends are invited to share their memories of Don with his family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, July 14, from 7 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, July 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Don’s life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009, 1:30 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb Street West, Waterloo, with Hon. Rev. Walter McLean officiating.
