<h1>Anne Slater</h1> It is with sadness that the family of Alice Patricia Anne Slater announce her death on July 14, 2010. Anne died unexpectedly after a short illness. She was loved and cherished by her son David and adoring grandchildren, Terrell and Shantelle Alliman of Waterloo. Predeceased by her parents Dora and James and sister Helen (Leigh) Doggett. Survived by her siblings Jim (Moira) of Brampton, Jean (Lee) Williamson of Brantford, Bob (Judy) of Morinville, AB, Nancy (Dick) Kusick of Waterloo and Kathy of Brantford. Auntie Anne will always be remembered and loved by her many nieces and nephews. She was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on July 6, 1941. Anne’s career as a blood bank technologist took her from Toronto to St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener until her retirement in 2006. She continued to support her profession by volunteering at blood donor clinics. Everyone who knew Anne appreciated her dedication to blood banking. Her kindness towards others impacted many and she will be deeply missed. A memorial reception in her memory will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, a donation of a unit of blood or donations to Autism Ontario would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through the funeral home at 519-745-8445.
