Peacefully, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on the evening of Sunday, July 4, 2010. Born July 22, 1921 in Plattsville, Ontario. Loving husband for 64 years to Doris (nee Jahn) who resides in Strathroy, Ontario.
Predeceased by parents, Edmund and Lavina (nee Hallman) Witmer of Kitchener; brothers and sisters, Wilfrid, Lloyd, Flossie, Beulah, Ethel, Raymond, Leonard and Violet. Clifford is survived by his younger sister, Barbara (Cook).
Cliff spent most of his 88 years in Kitchener, working in the construction trade. He and Doris raised 4 boys; Dan, Jack, Ron and Paul; and loved their wives and partners as their own: Mary (Howell), Janet (Hopkins), Joan (Whittaker) and Kathy (Dowbiggin). Sadly missed by grandchildren, Heidi, Michelle, Benjamin, Jennifer and Hannah.
Cliff and Doris were charter members of Grandview Baptist Church in Kitchener.
Relatives and friends are invited to share in a service of remembrance at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. A time to meet with the family will follow. Please bring your favourite memory.
