1936 - 2008
Bert died unexpectedly as a result of respiratory complications at St. Marys Hospital on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at age 72.
He was the beloved husband of Gloria Dueck; dear father of Deborah Wagner of Orillia, Jeffery Dueck and his wife Trish of Toronto, Karen Medlicott and her husband Tom of Mitchell, Sandra Noecker and her husband Rod, John Dueck and his wife Tena, and James Dueck of Kitchener. Bert will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Ryan, Danielle, Stephanie, Chelsea, Jennifer, Sarah; great-granddaughter, Madison; brothers, Hal Dueck and his wife Pinky of Dana Point, California, Bill Dueck and his wife Brenda of Penn Yan, New York, along with many nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Henry, and granddaughter Candice.
Bert was in the car business most of his life and most recently was a Sales Manager at Galt Chrysler. Bert was a past member of the Kitchener Kinsman Club, Sales and Ad Club, and very active in community affairs.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Bert with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, August 4, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Berts life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ed Janzen officiating, followed by a reception in the funeral home.
