<h1>Lois Playford</h1> 1935 - 2008 Lois died unexpectedly as a result of complications following surgery, at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener, on Saturday, July 26, 2008. She was 73. Family was the centre of her life - her beloved husband Peter; dear mother of Richard Evans of Calgary, Susan Ann and her husband Wayne Neitzel of Kincardine, James “Bud” Evans and his wife Sharon of Waterloo and Jeffery Evans of Sparwood, BC. Lois will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Joey and his wife Brooke, Joshua and his wife Emily, Jeremiah and his wife Alex, James and his wife Tracey, Meagen and Brenden; eight great-grandchildren and her two sisters, Doris Schaefer and her husband Clarence of Kitchener and Denice McDonald and her husband Steven of New Dundee. She was predeceased by her first husband William “Wid” Evans; a daughter Wendy Jean in infancy; twin sister Charlotte Jean at birth and her parents Jean (Arthurs) and Hazael Conway. She was a longtime member of First United Church in Waterloo and volunteered her time with many community organizations. For 16 years, Lois worked for the City of Waterloo in the Community Services Department. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lois with her family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 1 p.m. Immediately following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. A private family interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
