<h1>Barbara Huras</h1> 1935 – 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of Barb Huras announces her passing on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a long but brave battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband, Rev. Mervin David Huras (1991), father, Charles William Harding (1957) and her sister, Sue Harding (2003). Special daughter of Maxine Harding, age 96, of Kitchener. Loving mother of David Huras and his wife Elaine of Toronto and Cheryl Readman and her husband Mark of Guelph. Adoring Nana to Allison and Stacey Huras and Jake and Chad Davidson. Sister-in-law to Bea, Anna Mae and Bob and Tilly Huras of Stratford. Much loved niece to Jack Coe of Florida. Dearly missed by her “good daughter” Lynn Wicks of Waterloo. Barb was born June 18, 1935 in Springfield Illinois. She became a Registered Nurse and practiced unitl 1966 when she chose to leave nursing and devote her life to her family. She moved to Canada shortly thereafter and has lived here ever since. She most recently was active in the Canadian Diabetes Association as the Education Director for Waterloo Wellington. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Carolyn Campbell, Dr. Kumalo, the 6th floor nursing staff and the entire oncology department at Grand River Hospital. You were all angels to her. Never give up! Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Barb during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Monday, July 21 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 136 Margaret Avenue, Kitchener, on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 1 p.m. Cremation with a private family interment at Floradale Cemetery will follow on Friday. Please no flowers due to allergies. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
