It is with great sadness that Catherines children announce her passing, on Friday, July 18, 2008, in her 90th year.
For many years, Catherine was an active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Kitchener.
Beloved wife of the late Paul Stigter; loved mother of Paul and Marilyn of Kitchener, John and Brenda of Shakespeare, Marianne McKinnon and Arnold Leyen of Kitchener, Francina Stigter of Aurora, Catherine and Stanley Maciaczyk of Waterloo, and Winston and Ellen of Kitchener. Cherished oma of Susan (Daniel), Carolyn, Leah, Kim, Duane, Jennifer, Jeff, Nancy (Marty), Sheila (Mike) and Paul (Tara), and 11 great-grandchildren. Catherine was the last surviving member of her family.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Catherine with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Catherines life will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen Street North, Kitchener, on Wednesday, July 23 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow the service in Iona Hall at the church. A private family graveside committal service will be held.

In living memory of Catherine, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
