Klaus Heidelberger, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Freeport Health Centre. He, his optimism, curiosity and endless interests in the world around him are missed by his wife of 33 years Zlata, his children Sibylle and Sasha, his daughter-in-law Bonnie, and his grandchildren Wyatt and Kaya. Klaus treasured life, his family and friendship. He loved and respected nature and whenever possible gave it a helping hand. As per his wishes, a cremation followed by a simple private family service was held on July 17, 2008 at Parkview Cemetery & Crematorium.
We are thankful to Dr. G. Pannozzo and Pauline, Dr. R. Pace, Dr. M. Meghji and the physicians and nurses of the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre for their tenacious efforts; Liz, Vern, Ingrid, Udo, Bernd and Cambridge Libraries and Galleries for their extraordinary generosity and support; neighbours on Glenburn Drive, in particular Bob and Mary, for being there for the family; Nick, Tim, Ivan, Roy, Jeff, George, Raymond, Barry, Patrick, Martin, Elizabeth, Deena,Rick and Sima for being true friends; Staff of Bank of Nova Scotia at Beechwood Waterloo and Shoppers Drug Mart at Erb & Ira Needles for their understanding, enthusiasm and moral support.
