<h1>Anne Tompkins</h1> (nee Powers) Peacefully, with her son by her side, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, July 14, 2008. Anne was the wife of James G. Tompkins and loving mother of Jamie and his wife Stephanie Tompkins of Peterborough. Anne was the youngest daughter of Gladys and Edward Powers (both deceased) of Waterloo. Anne is predeceased by her brothers Ted Powers of Waterloo, Daniel Powers of Florida and brother-in-law Woodrow Foell of Niagara Falls. She will be lovingly remembered always by her sisters, Margaret and her husband William Kinslow of New York, and Joan Foell of Niagara Falls and sister-in-law, Joan Powers of Waterloo Joanne Powers of Florida. Grandma Anne will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Patrick and Taylor Tompkins. Auntie Anne will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews who she deeply touched with her loving and generous spirit. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories and celebrate her life during visitation at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. Waterloo on Saturday, July 19, 2008 from 7-9 and Sunday, July 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9pm where parish prayers will be held at 3:45 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo, on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bob Liddy as celebrant. A reception will follow the service. A special thanks to the caring and devoted team in the palliative care unit at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre who deeply touched Anne and her family by their incredible support over the last three months.
