<h1>Maureen Blackwell</h1> Maureen Sandra Blackwell, of Kitchener, Ontario died Tuesday, July 13th, 2010 in Grand River Hospital after a 3 yr fight against Breast Cancer. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Febuary 3, 1969, to Austin and Laverne Moran, Maureen grew up in St Laurent and attended Father MacDonald Comprehensive High School and graduated in 1986. She then went on to study Nursing at Vanier College where she graduated in 1989 as an RN. Maureen worked as a nurse for 18 years, first for St. Mary’s Hospital in Montreal and then she moved with family in August 2002 to Kitchener. She continued her nursing career with St. Mary’s Hospital here in Kitchener. Maureen is survived by her husband, Chris, her son’s James and Austin; her father Austin; her brother William, his wife Lucy and their two children Amanda and Elianne; her sister Cheryl and her husband Bill and their three children Kaleb , Seth and Meagan Rose. Memorial visitation will be held at the Erb Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday July 18th from 6-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at The Waterloo Church of Christ, (519-885-6330) 470 Glenelm Crescent, Waterloo on Monday, July 19 at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place and a reception will follow the service at the church.
