<h1>Alexander Pratt</h1> 1919 – 2008 The family regrets to announce the passing of Alex, peacefully at Lisaard House in Cambridge on July 10, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Alex retired from Sunar after 50 years of dedicated service. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing at Rockway Golf Course and Dundee Country Club as well as curling at the Granite Club. He is the devoted father of Susan Duval (Larry) of Campbellville, Jane Blake (fiancé, Tony Semas) of Mississauga, Janet Taylor (Richard) of Ottawa and Alexandra Schreiner (Danny) of Salem, Ontario. Sadly missed by grandchildren Alison Winsor (Brian) of Hubbards, Nova Scotia, Scott Bermon (Cathy), Donald Duval and Michael Duval (Anne-Marie), Joshua and Emma Blake, Cassandra and Duncan Taylor, Laurel and Anika Schreiner. Proud great-grandfather of Sam, Sarah and Julia. Lovingly remembered by his sister Margaret Schott (Clare), sister-in-law, Betty Pratt as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen in 2001; by his infant son, Scott; his brother, William Pratt; and parents, William Pratt and Maggie Bella (nee McKay). The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of the staff at Luther Village-Sunshine Centre and Lisaard House for the excellent care they gave to Alex. Visitation will be held at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, July 11, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, July 12 from 11 a.m.- 12:45 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow service. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener following the reception. In living memory of Alex a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
