<h1>Evelyn Lobsinger</h1> (SIMS) 1920 - 2008 Evelyn (Eve) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant battle with cancer, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Sunday, January 06, 2008, at age 87. She is survived by sons, Richard (Martha) of Waterloo, Mark (Denise DeJong) of Cambridge, and daughter, Sylvia Smith (Gary) of Thunder Bay. She will also be missed by grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Evan Lobsinger, and Stephanie Oldfield. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Alfred Sims and Daisy (Mitchell) and brothers, Leslie and Ronald in England, husband, Sylvester Lobsinger (1980) and son, John (1965). Evelyn was born in England and immigrated to Canada shortly after the Second World War. She retired from the Unemployment Insurance Commission in 1985. At our Mum’s request, there will be no funeral service. We will be returning her cremated remains to her beloved England to be scattered over those of her family in Kent, the Garden of England. The family invites you to a reception in her honour in the Historic Kuntz House of the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Special thanks to Dr. Williamson, Brenda Bittner R.N. and the caring staff at Freeport Health Centre.
